Tell me more! How about an F.A.Q.?

Q:  What is Writer's Week?
A:
Writer's Week is a weeklong celebration of the power of writing.  Modeled after Fremd High School's legendary Writer's Week, we devote a week to sharing the best student, faculty, and community writing from Neuqua Valley.  During the week, each period of the day features a different presentation of writing, story telling, discussion of choices, or tribute to the art and science of composition.

Q: Who presents?
A: Hosted by the English Department, Writer's Week is a voluntary sharing of writing.  Some presentations will feature student writing; other sessions will feature faculty readings.  We also welcome guests from the community to share their views on writing as a profession, vocation, calling, and lifestyle.

Q: How can I get involved?
A: Write! Seriously, the best way to get involved is to submit a piece of writing to your English teacher or through this website.  The deadline for submissions is February 15th, 2019.  Once accepted, you will be notified as to when you will present your writing.

Q: So.... Can I write and share anything?
A: Within the bounds of good taste.
Remember, this is a school and all words have weight and gravity to them.  Check out our submissions policy for full guidelines.  That said, Writer's Week celebrates candor, authenticity, and personal experience.  If you have a story that you need to tell, we can figure out a way to share it.

Q: I'm a professional writer.  How can I get involved?
A: Email Mike Rossi at
michael_rossi@ipsd.org.  It's that simple.  We would love for you to share your writing life with our kids.  Or for more information check out this Guest Speaker F.A.Q.
